I am an artist based in Munich and Vienna, and I work mostly with an analog 4x5 large format camera. What interests me is the relationship between people and the spaces they move through. I look for the atmosphere of a place, and for the way architecture and human presence shape each other.

Large format slows me down. With sheet film every frame has a cost, so I plan ahead and wait, and in the end I commit to one moment. That discipline is part of the picture. I am less interested in what happened than in how it felt to be there.

My work grows slowly, and on purpose. I want to make images that hold up over time, the kind you can keep coming back to.
